Designing a Complete Visual System for a Global Health Publication
The project Airway Management: A Solution for Our Health Crisis by Dr. Steven Olmos presented a multidisciplinary design challenge — creating a cohesive visual identity for a professional medical publication that communicates clarity, authority, and innovation.
For this project, I developed the entire visual system of the book:
- Front and back cover design
- Spine layout and composition
- Editorial structure and photo editing
- Custom medical illustrations and technical figures used throughout the publication
Each element was crafted to balance scientific precision with visual accessibility, ensuring the information could engage both medical professionals and general readers. The cover design—featuring a striking, data-inspired human silhouette—symbolizes the relationship between airway health and overall wellness, serving as a visual metaphor for the book’s core message.
Inside, I created all illustrations and anatomical figures from concept to final render, combining technical accuracy with a modern, clean aesthetic. The photo layouts and editorial compositions were designed to maintain flow and legibility, aligning with the professional standards of international medical publishing.
The result is a publication that feels both educational and contemporary, bridging the gap between medical expertise and design communication.

Editorial Design Featuring Original Artwork
The Local Art Magazine | 2015 project celebrates creative collaboration and editorial design with a modern, minimal aesthetic. For this issue, I was responsible for the front and back cover design, the spine layout, and the original artwork featured on the cover.
The goal was to capture the magazine’s vibrant and contemporary spirit while maintaining a clean typographic balance. The design merges bold geometric composition with hand-painted textures, blending the spontaneity of fine art with the structure of print design.
The original artwork, created by me exclusively for this edition, integrates vivid color and organic form to symbolize movement and artistic expression — a visual representation of the magazine’s mission to showcase emerging artists and creative professionals.
Every detail of the cover and spine was developed to stand out on newsstands and digital platforms alike, emphasizing clarity, rhythm, and a dynamic visual hierarchy that draws the viewer in.
